Casio’s design team first crafted the watch’s form, then employed generative AI to refine its case’s durability and weight. The result maintains the series’ rugged strength while reducing its bulk.

Distinctive Features

The MTGB4000 comes in two variations: the MTGB4000-1A, priced at $1,250, and the MTGB4000B1A2 at $1,350. Both models feature a frame constructed from carbon and glass-fiber sheets, with the layers visible along the sides, resembling geological strata. Inside, the evolved Dual Core Guard system is integrated with the band links to absorb shocks before they reach the internal module.

Design and Functionality

The finish remains true to the MT-G line. The edges are Sallaz-polished, capturing light, while hairline and mirror planes trade gloss for texture. A sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating covers a dial designed with multiple tiers. The case-back, molded through metal-injection molding, adds depth to the piece while ensuring 200-meter water resistance. The B1A2 model features a blue-grey ion-plated coating that resembles twilight steel.

Advanced Features

The MTGB4000 offers an impressive array of functions. Tough Solar charging powers the module, Multi-Band 6 radio ensures accurate timekeeping, and Smartphone Link allows for Bluetooth adjustments. The watch is built to withstand the elements with Triple G Resist, and its Super Illuminator LED lights the dial at night. Additional features include a stopwatch, countdown timer, alarm, and world-time readout for 27 cities, making it an everyday essential.

Production remains local, with every MTGB4000 being machined and assembled in Yamagata Casio, where the brand’s most intricate models are crafted.
